We invite you to participate in the kood/Jõhvi Cybersecurity Hackathon
When: April 21-23, 2023
Where: kood/Jõhvi’s School Building in Jõhvi (2 Tartu Põik 5, Jõhvi, Estonia)
That’s right – we’re hosting a hackathon!
Why are we doing this?
As the world becomes increasingly digital, cyber attacks are on the rise. In fact, cybercrime is predicted to cost the world $10.5 trillion annually by 2025, up from $3 trillion in 2015.
Cybercrime is a type of crime that involves using technology to commit illegal activities. This can include things like hacking into computer systems, stealing personal information or financial data, spreading viruses or malware, and using the internet to engage in fraud or scams. Cybercrime can have serious consequences and can impact individuals, businesses, and even entire countries.
Yes! A hackathon is an event where people come together to solve problems through collaborative, hands-on work. It usually lasts for a set period of time, often 48 hours.
Participants work in teams to come up with innovative solutions to a specific challenge or set of challenges. The goal is to develop working prototypes or solutions by the end of the event.
The main aim of the Cyber Security Hackathon is to find innovative solutions to recurring problems and challenges in cybersecurity. Through intense brainstorming, different expertise, and help from top-notch mentors, a lot can be accomplished in just 48 hours.
We welcome ideas ranging from how to raise awareness about cybersecurity to the creation of new cybersecurity solutions. You can also join, if you don’t (yet) have an idea and want to join a team.
Who should join?
-Designers (product designers, artists, architects, UI/UX, etc.);
-Programmers (software, robotics, etc.);
-Team leaders and visionaries;
-Business developers and marketing gurus;
– Anyone interested cybersecurity – students, experts and enthusiasts
Join us in our brand new building in Jõhvi, for a weekend-long intensive development event where we will develop working prototypes in 48 hours! If you’re ready to create something innovative and make a real difference in the field of cybersecurity, then this is the event for you!
The registration for the hackathon opens on March 14 on Eventornado and will be held in English.
