We are excited to announce that the fourth Selection Sprint will begin on Monday, October 30! This Sprint will be the final one for the year 2023, but we are already accepting applications for the 2024 Sprints. You can find more information on how to apply here.
Meet Our Sprinters
We have an amazing group of Sprinters joining us for this Selection Sprint. Let’s take a look at how some of them have introduced themselves in our student Discord:
- “My name is Veronika. I am a chef by profession and I really enjoy cooking (and eating too). I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, as well as going on long bike rides in the summer and ice-skating in the winter. I am very excited (and a bit scared, to be honest) about the upcoming Selection Sprint, but I have no doubt that it will be a fantastic adventure with awesome people.”
- “My name is Valters. I am a 45-year-old farmer from the northern part of Latvia who is looking for a challenge in my life. I have a flock of 200 sheep, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 kids. I have always been interested in technology and computers, but my profession is actually an automotive engineer (although I have never worked in that field). It’s not easy for me to describe what I like because I enjoy doing a little bit of everything. I am truly excited for the Selection Sprint. I am still figuring out how to manage everything here, but I can’t wait to meet you all!”
- “Hey, I’m Marleen from Pärnu, but I have been living in Tallinn for a few years now. I got my motorcycle license this summer and I really enjoy riding a bike. I like music, especially hip hop and pop, going to the gym, and watching good films. I have been working at restaurants for 5-6 years and I quit my job to join the Sprint. It’s my big dream to get into IT and hopefully everything goes well. I took a beginners JavaScript course a long time ago but haven’t built anything serious. I am very excited to meet all of you!”
- “Hey! I’m Kristen. A little bit about me, I’m going on my 6th year in the Estonian defence force, which has taught me how to handle any/most stressful situations and how to always see the bright side. When I’m not at work, I love theory crafting to find a new niche for a product that might not exist or a service that would make life easier. I can’t wait to meet like-minded people during the Sprint and hopefully even after.”
These talented individuals are just a few of the hundreds of new Sprinters who bring diverse backgrounds and skills to the program. We are excited to see what they will accomplish during the process and hopefully when they succeed in the full school program.
Early Start for Successful Sprinters
Our successful Sprinters have the opportunity to start their studies as early as January 17, 2024. This means that upon completing the Selection Sprint, they can dive right into their educational journey and begin building their skills and knowledge.
We are looking forward to an exciting and productive fourth Selection Sprint, and we can’t wait to see the incredible achievements of our Sprinters.
