Bachelor’s degree from kood/Jõhvi?!

Almost! We are excited to announce a new partnership between Estonian Business School (EBS) and kood/Jõhvi that is set to scale up the educational landscape in IT and business. This collaboration aims to provide our students with great opportunities to enhance their skills and future-proof their careers.

Starting this autumn, kood/Jõhvi alumni will have the unique opportunity to advance their education with an accelerated two-year Bachelor’s degree in business / entrepreneurship at EBS (check the available programmes here). This path not only fast-tracks the academic journey but also deepens the business understanding, perfectly complementing the technical skills acquired at kood/Jõhvi.

A New Era of Educational Opportunities

In 2025, the collaboration will expand to include EBS undergraduates, who will have the chance to specialise in software development through kood/Jõhvi. This initiative will equip future business leaders with the essential tech skills needed in today’s digital world.

Lauri Haav, CEO of kood/Jõhvi, shares his vision for the partnership: “Combining business management knowledge with tech expertise is more than a trend – it’s a necessity. Our collaboration with EBS is a strategic move to empower tech enthusiasts with a comprehensive education that bridges two critical fields. This not only enhances the capabilities of our graduates but also integrates technology education components into EBS’s curricula.”

Empowering the Next Generation of Tech Entrepreneurs

Martin Villig, co-founder of Bolt, EBS alumnus & honorary doctor, and co-founder of kood/Jõhvi, emphasises the critical need for professionals who are proficient in both programming and business management. In his words, the synergy of these skills is essential for launching and managing successful enterprises. This collaboration is set to stimulate Estonian technology entrepreneurship, blending practical tech skills with essential business knowledge.

Mart Habakuk, Chancellor of EBS, reflects on the power of collaboration: “Estonia’s startup success stories often start with innovative collaborations. By bringing together entrepreneurs, developers, and designers who share common goals and values, we lay the groundwork for significant achievements. Our partnership with kood/Jõhvi exemplifies this spirit and is poised to further elevate Estonia’s position as a leader in digital entrepreneurship.”
