\u201cI used to play the french horn in the Estonian Defence Orchestra. Now I build retrieval-augmented generation platforms. I think there is something with music and coding \u2014 for musicians, coding clicks somehow, because you learn like another language when you are learning music.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joosep also talks about AI as a collaborative tool<\/strong>, how coding with extensions like Roo Code feels like \u201cpair programming with a robot,\u201d and why junior developers today must learn to lead AI, not fear it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women in tech and mentoring the next generation<\/strong> of coders<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The episode closes with a powerful conversation with Merilin Lupp<\/strong>, Head of IT at Ericsson Estonia<\/strong>. Beyond her day job, Merilin is a mentor and coach<\/strong>, helping women and men transition into tech<\/strong> through the initiative Womente<\/strong> – a mentorship program she co-founded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCoaching is about helping people identify where they want to go,\u201d she says, \u201cand mentoring is about sharing your experience to help them get there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
