Artur, a 26-year-old stay-at-home dad<\/strong>, and Indrek, a 29-year-old service advisor with a background in automotive engineering,<\/strong> met during the Selection Sprint \u2014 and quickly became friends. When asked if they knew each other before, they both laughed and shook their heads. \u201cNo, we didn\u2019t know each other before \u2014 we just clicked fast. But we also have our group of friends,\u201d Artur said about the people they met during the first weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Artur explained why he decided to join: \u201cSince I\u2019ve been working with computers my whole life, and I was tired of manual labor, that\u2019s what made me choose coding.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Indrek shared his reason: \u201cI like remote work. I like to work from wherever I am, and I like building something from just scratch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe most exciting part has been the people,\u201d<\/strong> Artur shared. \u201cSo many different backgrounds, but somehow we\u2019re all moving in the same direction,\u201d<\/strong> added Indrek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Neither came in with prior experience in coding, and both admitted they wish they\u2019d prepared more beforehand. Still, the experience has been eye-opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Indrek\u2019s biggest surprise? Passing the first exam. \u201cI honestly didn\u2019t expect to score any points,\u201d he said. \u201cBut when I did \u2014 it felt good.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite the challenges, both agree that the Sprint taught them far more than just coding. \u201cYou learn about time management, sleep habits, and how you handle pressure.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Their advice for anyone considering the Sprint? – \u201cPush through it. I also wanted to gain experience in leadership and mentorship, because here I can guide and help others in this field.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n He added, \u201cSince I help juniors, there isn\u2019t a single time I haven\u2019t learned something from them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The most exciting part for Asad has been watching others\u2019 persistence: \u201cIt\u2019s inspiring to see people who started coding just a week ago still pushing through<\/strong>. To succeed in programming, you need to be stubborn and keep pursuing it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Sprint challenged Asad in new ways, especially since Java was a new language for him. \u201cI had to go back to basics \u2014 pen and paper,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His top advice? – \u201cDon\u2019t take all of it at once. Take baby steps.
