We sat down with six remarkable women \u2014 each from a different background, each with her own story \u2014 to hear why they chose to explore coding, what surprised them most, and what they would say to other women standing on the edge of curiosity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 style=\"--ama-heading-stencil-color: var(--ama-accent-color-1)\" class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">\ud83c\udf1f<strong> Nadia&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Nadia, 34, originally from Alaska and now living in Tallinn, works in marketing and email automation. Her interest in coding wasn\u2019t sparked by a career need but by curiosity \u2014 she\u2019s always felt her brain works in a very logical, systematic way. When she heard about coding, she thought, \u201cMaybe this is something I\u2019d be good at.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">She was surprised to discover just how naturally coding fit with her. \u201cI didn\u2019t expect how easily I could get into a \u2018flow state\u2019,\u201d she shared.<strong> \u201cHours would fly by without me even noticing \u2014 and I loved that feeling of being completely absorbed in something new.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">When asked what she would say to other women who might be curious but unsure, Nadia had this to say: <strong>\u201cTry it! It\u2019s a small investment of time and resources,<\/strong> and you\u2019ll quickly know if it\u2019s for you<strong>. <\/strong>If you don\u2019t try, you\u2019ll never know \u2014 and that curiosity will always be there. Just give it a shot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1160\" height=\"773\" src=\"https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6566-1160x773.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21253\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6566-1160x773.jpg 1160w, https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6566-195x130.jpg 195w, https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6566-60x40.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1160px) 100vw, 1160px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 style=\"--ama-heading-stencil-color: var(--ama-accent-color-2)\" class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">\ud83c\udf1f<strong> Kristi<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">At 45, Kristi has spent her entire career in customer service and now works as Head of Customer Support at LHV Bank.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">She\u2019s no stranger to change, but the rise of AI and new technologies in her field made her curious: What\u2019s really happening on the tech side?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Kristi signed up for the course to understand coding and AI better. She admitted it was intimidating at first. <strong>\u201cI\u2019ve never been in IT before, always in customer service,\u201d <\/strong>she said.<strong> <\/strong>\u201cBut it\u2019s been so exciting to learn something completely new.<strong> It\u2019s also comforting to realize that everyone shares the same fears \u2014 we\u2019re all in this together.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">For Kristi, every small win felt monumental. \u201cWhen something finally works, that feeling of success \u2014 it\u2019s like nothing else,\u201d she smiled.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Her message to other women? \u201cIf you\u2019re already thinking coding is cool, you should do it. If I can do it, then you can do it too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 style=\"--ama-heading-stencil-color: var(--ama-accent-color-3)\" class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">\ud83c\udf1f<strong> Maian\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Maian, almost 25, has a background in Spanish<strong> <\/strong>philology, pedagogy, she has worked in research and now lives in Spain. Her decision to join the course was driven by a simple realization: coding would have been incredibly useful in her university work. \u201c<strong>I wanted to see what it\u2019s all about,<\/strong>\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">She admitted she was worried she might get frustrated, but instead, she found herself enjoying it far more than she expected.<strong> \u201cI thought I might feel stuck, but actually, I loved how coding challenged me to think differently.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Her message to other women is powerful and encouraging: \u201c<strong>Doubt is your biggest enemy. <\/strong>Of course you don\u2019t know how to do it yet \u2014 that\u2019s what learning is for!<strong> If you\u2019re willing to explore and learn, there\u2019s no obstacle you can\u2019t overcome.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1160\" height=\"773\" src=\"https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6538-1160x773.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21258\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6538-1160x773.jpg 1160w, https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6538-195x130.jpg 195w, https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6538-60x40.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1160px) 100vw, 1160px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 style=\"--ama-heading-stencil-color: var(--ama-accent-color-4)\" class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">\ud83c\udf1f<strong> Karmen<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Karmen, 29, has a background that spans sales, leadership, and even animal science. Today, she\u2019s a tech recruiter \u2014 a role that has her talking to engineers and tech professionals every day. Those conversations piqued her curiosity. \u201cI thought, \u2018I\u2019m always working with engineers, but I don\u2019t really understand what they do. I wanted to see what coding is actually like.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">She described her experience as a roller coaster of emotions. <strong>\u201cThe first day, I was excited and loved it. But by the second day, the tasks felt harder, and I thought, \u2018Oh no, maybe I\u2019m not meant for this.\u2019<\/strong>\u201d But she quickly realized she didn\u2019t have to figure it all out on her own. \u201cThe program is designed so well \u2014 you feel supported the whole time.<strong> You can be vulnerable and ask for help. That made all the difference.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Karmen\u2019s advice to other women is deeply thoughtful: \u201cDon\u2019t get stuck on the question of whether you <em>can<\/em> do it \u2014 you can. It\u2019s more about whether you\u2019d <em>enjoy<\/em> it. <strong>Coding is about problem-solving and exploring how your mind works. But you\u2019ll never know if it\u2019s for you unless you try.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 style=\"--ama-heading-stencil-color: var(--ama-accent-color-1)\" class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">\ud83c\udf1f<strong> Riita<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Riita has spent almost half her life in banking and is currently leading a transformation project at LHV Bank. She joined the course driven by curiosity \u2014 and by a <strong>desire to truly understand the \u201chard-core\u201d IT world she\u2019s often worked alongside.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">\u201cI\u2019ve always worked as a business stakeholder in IT projects, but I\u2019ve never been on the other side,\u201d she explained. \u201cI\u2019d ask simple questions and see developers roll their eyes, and I thought, \u2018What\u2019s so difficult about this?\u2019<strong> Now, after just four days here, I understand. And I have so much more appreciation for the complexity and logic behind their work.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Riita doesn\u2019t plan to become a coder herself, but she sees huge value in what she\u2019s learned. \u201c<strong>The line between business and IT is becoming more and more blurred. <\/strong>Knowing how to define needs clearly, structure problems logically, and execute a plan \u2014 those skills are universal, no matter what role you\u2019re in.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1160\" height=\"773\" src=\"https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6610-1160x773.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21286\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6610-1160x773.jpg 1160w, https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6610-195x130.jpg 195w, https:\/\/kood.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG_6610-60x40.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1160px) 100vw, 1160px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 style=\"--ama-heading-stencil-color: var(--ama-accent-color-2)\" class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">\ud83c\udf1f<strong> Violetta<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Violetta, 31, has spent most of her career in sales and now works in the Segment and Sales Management Department at LHV Bank.<strong> At first, coding seemed like a world reserved for introverted guys who spend all day behind screens. But that changed when she met more and more interesting people in tech \u2014 including women who broke those old stereotypes. <\/strong>\u201cThat made me think, \u2018Hey, maybe I can do this too!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">\u201cThe biggest surprise was realizing that coding isn\u2019t as scary as it seems. It\u2019s actually very logical \u2014 like solving math puzzles. Once you calm down and build a plan, it\u2019s totally doable. And honestly, it\u2019s fun \u2014 even addictive!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">To other women who might be curious, Violetta says: \u201c<strong>You\u2019ll never know unless you try. You can try it and maybe regret it, or not try and still regret it \u2014 the risk is the same. <\/strong>But when you do try, there\u2019s also the chance you might discover something you really enjoy. If you don\u2019t try at all, you\u2019re just left with the \u2018what ifs.\u2019<strong> <\/strong>So go for it \u2014 you might surprise yourself!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 style=\"--ama-heading-stencil-color: var(--ama-accent-color-3)\" class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\"><strong>Final Reflections<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">These six women show that coding isn\u2019t just about lines of code \u2014 it\u2019s about curiosity, courage, and the willingness to dive into something unfamiliar. For some, it\u2019s a potential career shift; for others, it\u2019s a way to better collaborate with colleagues in tech.
