From public affairs to programming: Sadaf\u2019s journey<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Meet Sadaf, a 26-year-old with a vibrant background and an inspiring determination to step into the tech world. With a Bachelor\u2019s in Public Affairs and a Master\u2019s in Technology Governance and Sustainability, Sadaf\u2019s professional journey started in Azerbaijan\u2019s Ministry of Education and Science. However, her path took an unexpected turn after moving to Estonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always believed in continuous learning, but the job market has become so competitive,<\/em>\u201d Sadaf shares. When she heard about kood\/J\u00f5hvi, its unique programme focusing on in-demand skills and a supportive environment caught her attention. \u201cI felt I needed a support to know what to learn and how to learn – so I ended up here!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Selection Sprint<\/a> wasn\u2019t all smooth sailing, though. \u201cOn the second day, I was ready to leave. I thought, \u2018I don\u2019t belong here.<\/em>\u2019\u201d But the encouragement of a fellow sprinter changed everything. \u201cThanks to their help, I stayed – and I\u2019m so glad I did!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For future sprinters, Sadaf advises: \u201c<\/strong>Network, talk to people, ask for help. Even if you don\u2019t feel like you\u2019re learning, you already know more than last week. Keep going, and enjoy the time!<\/em><\/strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martha\u2019s leap into tech: From SEO to the lure of something totally new\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Meet Maria-Martha, or simply Martha, a 27-year-old who\u2019s finally following a long-held interest in programming. After high school, Martha\u2019s journey began in fashion, learning to make suits and jackets, before pivoting into marketing with a focus on SEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her love for coding, however, never faded. \u201cThis October, I decided it was time for a change,<\/em>\u201d she says. \u201cI heard about kood\/J\u00f5hvi years ago, but the timing was never right. Then, in August, I got the urge to learn something new. I took the entry test and got accepted into the Selection Sprint!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on the Sprint, Martha describes it as \u201cstressful but in a good way<\/em>.\u201d She adds, \u201cI didn\u2019t just learn programming – I learned a lot about myself.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her advice to future sprinters? \u201c<\/strong>Take time for proper meals and drink water – I forgot to do it most of the Sprint! And talk to other sprinters. You\u2019re all in this together.<\/em><\/strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
