At 45, Janne found herself at a career crossroads. With an education in catering and 16 years in finance, the leap to IT was not one she took lightly. “I wanted to feel young again,<\/em>” Janne explains with a smile. The decision to join kood\/J\u00f5hvi was spurred by the promise of acquiring a new specialty within just 12 months, a pace that traditional education could not match. \u201cI was considering Tallinn University for IT studies until I heard about the exciting program at kood\/J\u00f5hvi through my husband’s coworker. I chose kood\/J\u00f5hvi because of the chance to gain a new specialty in just 12 months. Plus, I read some reviews that said you can learn more here in a year than in three years of high school!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n “I must admit, it’s tough diving into IT with no prior experience, especially since it’s been 25 years since I last hit the books. But hey, I’m down for a challenge!<\/em>” <\/p>\n\n\n\n Her advice to future sprinters? “Don\u2019t lose sight of the goal just because things get tricky<\/em>!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n From Art to Algorithms – Hanna\u2019s Shift<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Hanna, 24, has always been drawn to art and architecture, but a twist of fate redirected her path towards technology. After not getting accepted into traditional schools, Hanna considered kood\/J\u00f5hvi as an alternate route, intrigued by the potential to explore her creative passions through coding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Selection Sprint at kood\/J\u00f5hvi was a defining moment for Hanna. “The Sprint itself went quite well; I had the fortune of staying in the kood\/J\u00f5hvi building, and I think that made my experience a lot better.<\/em>” Living and working alongside her peers not only enhanced her learning experience but also forged lasting bonds. “My roommates and I leaned a lot on each other, asking questions when we didn\u2019t understand or explaining concepts to each other.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hanna’s practical tip for incoming sprinters: “Meal prep!
