kood/Garage48: Empowering Women
We’ve teamed up with Garage48 to support women in Ida-Viru in building digital skills, and gaining the knowledge and confidence needed to start and grow their own businesses.
Program kicks off with a 4-day kood/Empower bootcamp in kood/Jõhvi where women take their first steps into coding in a focused and inclusive space to learn, grow, and connect. Bootcamp graduates are encouraged to move on to the next stage of the program, but participation remains optional.
The next steps are Garage48 Empowering Women Hackathon and Accelerator!
This program is co-funded by the European Union

Insights from empowered women
“I’ve never been in IT before, always in customer service but it’s been so exciting to learn something completely new. It’s also comforting to realize that everyone shares the same fears — we’re all in this together.”
Kristi (45), Customer Support Lead at LHV
“I didn’t expect how easily I could get into a ‘flow state’, hours would fly by without me even noticing — and I loved that feeling of being completely absorbed in something new.”
Nadia (34), Marketing and email automation
“Now, after just four days here, I understand and have so much more appreciation for the complexity and logic behind developers’ work.”
Riita (45), Business Development Manager at LHV
Bootcamp schedule will be announced soon!
