History
The kood/Järva learning centre is located on the third floor of a historic commercial building on Paide’s central square, at Keskväljak 15.
The building was completed in 1967 and is an important part of the town’s history and development. Owned by the Järva Consumers’ Cooperative, it once housed the Paide department store, the Paide restaurant and a cafeteria. For decades, this central building played a significant role in the local community. In 2021, the Järva Consumers’ Cooperative donated the building to the Järvamaa Foundation. The foundation operates as a regional development centre and plans to turn the building into a Central Estonia cooperation and innovation hub.
The school’s goal is to alleviate the shortage of software developers in Estonia and provide diverse opportunities for continuing and requalification education. The objective and result of this expansion is to increase the county’s competitiveness, create new local opportunities for upskilling and retraining, and contribute to the growth of entrepreneurship.
During the project, the necessary learning spaces will be set up, and the conditions for the school’s operations will be created.
The project is being carried out in cooperation between the SA Järvamaa, MTÜ Tuleviku Tehnoloogiaharidus, Türi Municipality, Järva Municipality and the City of Paide.
